Summary:

The HVAC Sheet Metal Welder will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and repairing HVAC ductwork and components. This role requires a strong background in both sheet metal work and welding to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship and durability in our projects . As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures through the use of various welding techniques, including welding steel and stainless steel.

Schedule :  8-hour shift

Duties:

1. Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork and HVAC components.
2. Perform welding operations (MIG, TIG and flux-cored) to secure metal parts and assemblies.
3. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
4. Perform welding tasks on steel and stainless steel materials
5. Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications
6. Operate and maintain welding equipment to build and fabricate metal components
7. Inspect welds for accuracy, safety, and quality assurance
8. Conduct quality checks and troubleshoot any issues that arise during installations.
9. Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
10. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols
11. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding with a strong sheet metal background.
• Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG and flux-cored).
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. .
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of welding experience preferred
• Proficiency in welding steel and stainless steel
• Certification in Aerial Lift Platform, or willingness to complete the required training
• OSHA 10 Certification, or willingness to complete the required training

License/Certification :

• Valid Welding License

Ability to Relocate:

• Lexington, KY 40506: Relocate before starting work (Required)

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS

• Some job duties are performed within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
• When the employee is at a work site, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and outdoor weather conditions. The noise in the work environment is often loud.
• Requires a consistent physical presence at the branch office to oversee shared services functions and employees, normally achieved by working standard business hours. Certain positions will require flexibility of working hours to meet the demands of the job and the direction of the manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or pulling.
• Frequently reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at times.
