Job Description

Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Memorization of Parking Rules and Regulations.
• Walking patrol (may be required), enforcing rules, and writing citations to violators.
• Must remain up-to-date on current versions and have complete working knowledge of the software and hardware utilized by parking.
• Be alert for dangerous conditions and report to Dispatch.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.

Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:

• Must have two years of experience working with the public in a customer service role and dealing with conflicting situations. Related college education may be exchanged for the experience requirement.
• Must be able to function in a high stress environment. Alertness, excellent memory for oral and written directions and details, and ability to make decisions and operate effectively under pressure are required.
• Must have computer skills with knowledge of software packages such as Microsoft Word and Access.
• Must demonstrate ability to learn university rules and regulations; university layout (buildings, farms, streets, etc.); university personnel; police communication equipment and software; and parking rules and regulations; and must remain up-to-date on current versions and have complete working knowledge of the software and hardware utilized by parking.
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet the requirements to operate a university vehicle.

Hourly Rate: $13.50 (Additional pay dependent upon qualifications)

Work Hours:

• Will be required to work overtime, weekends, as needed.
