Job Description Summary
The University Paralegal provides essential legal support to the Office of General Counsel by assisting attorneys with a wide range of legal matters. This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong research, writing, and communication skills. The Paralegal will work on diverse legal issues affecting the University, including but not limited to contract review, litigation support, policy development, and regulatory compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or a related field.
Two years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a higher education, government, or legal setting.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and research methods.
Proficiency in legal research databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
Experience in higher education law.
Experience with document management software.
Experience with public records requests.
