The Gifting Company is Immediately seeking a highly skilled Packaging Machine Operator

Job Purpose

• Set-up, break-down, clean, and assemble food packaging equipment while upholding food safety standards
• Coordinates with team members to ensure efficient production schedules are met
• Assures packaging equipment (bagger, foiler, flow-wrapper) is at proper settings for functional operation
• Maintains accurate documentation of production quantities and quality verification
• Communicates and addresses machine errors and mechanical issues promptly
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and stoppages
• Uphold safety procedures and policies to ensure a secure work environment
• Follow all GMP and SQF requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience operating bagging machine and/or flow-wrapping equipment required
• Ability to read and speak basic English
• Ability to maintain accurate records and understand basic charts and paperwork requirements
• Ability to apply deductive reasoning and to carry out simple verbal instructions
• Knowledge of basic tools and ability to make simple mechanical adjustments, using basic math calculations and measurements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure proper organization of supplies and allergen tools
• Coordinate with material handlers for raw material preparation
• Participate in lot tracking systems and completion of daily checks
• Work under pressure with attention to detail and accuracy
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area

Schedule

• 1st Shift - Base Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm*
• *Additional Days and Hours required as production demands
• **Holidays and Peak Seasons: Willingness to work in various departments during peak seasons
