Position Overview
As a Virtual Special Education Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to create personalized, meaningful educational experiences for students with diverse learning needs. Key Responsibilities

Deliver specialized instruction through virtual platforms to meet the unique needs of each student
Create, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with federal and state guidelines
Partner with general education teachers to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications are in place
Keep accurate, up-to-date records on student progress and documentation
Host virtual meetings with parents, staff, and other stakeholders to discuss student development and strategies
Provide valuable guidance to parents/guardians on how to support student learning at home
Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to collaborative team meetings

Required Qualifications

A Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
A valid Ohio teaching license with a Special Education endorsement
At least 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting
Proficiency in virtual learning platforms and educational technology
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, families, and colleagues
Experience in developing and managing IEPs
Ability to work independently, while staying connected with a collaborative team
