JOB SUMMARY

The Template Analyst is responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining provider schedule templates within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for a clinic. This role requires close collaboration with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and IT professionals to ensure that schedules are accurately configured to meet clinical needs, optimize patient flow, and comply with organizational policies. This role creates and manages Schedulable EPIC Records (SER) for all incoming and outgoing physicians. This position also builds decision trees for clinic templates for guided scheduling. This position manages Provider Leave Requests updates and reporting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate with IT and EMR support teams to troubleshoot and resolve template-related issues.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for providers and staff regarding schedule template issues, updates, or modifications via Helpdesk ticket system.
  • Work closely with healthcare providers, clinic managers, and administrative staff to gather requirements and obtain approval for schedule templates.
  • Ensure templates adhere to clinic policies, including appointment types, durations, and provider preferences.
  • Configure appointment slots, block times, and other scheduling parameters to optimize clinic operations.
  • Develop and customize provider schedule templates in the EMR system based on clinic requirements, provider availability, and patient demand.
  • Safeguard sensitive information within the EMR system and adhere to best practices for data security.
  • Ensure that all schedule templates comply with organizational policies, healthcare regulations, and patient privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Monitor template performance and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and patient access.
  • Regularly review and update templates to reflect changes in provider availability, clinic hours, or other operational adjustments.
  • This position is a hybrid position; 80% remote and 20% in office.

EDUCATION:

Required: Associate's or Bachelor's degree or 3 years of experience

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in schedule management, healthcare operations, or administrative roles within a clinic or hospital.

Preferred: Prior experience working with EMR systems in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
