Production Team Lead

Location: New Berlin, WI

Salary Range: $28–$31/hour

Shifts: Openings available for 1st and 2nd shifts

Overview: Dynatect Manufacturing seeks a proactive and skilled Production Team Lead to supervise and coordinate manufacturing team activities. This role ensures compliance with safety protocols, drives quality enhancements, meets production objectives, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Production Team Lead will manage production schedules, oversee team operations, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our New Berlin facility.

Key Responsibilities

Safety and Quality Management

• Promote and prioritize safety initiatives to ensure a secure working environment.
• Facilitate daily Tier 1 meetings to align the team on goals and progress.
• Communicate production expectations, interpret blueprints, and collaborate with Engineering for clarification.

Production Oversight

• Coordinate production schedules, monitor backlog, and manage cycle counts and inventory adjustments.
• Address equipment malfunctions and coordinate with Maintenance.
• Drive continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing principles and production management software.

Team Leadership

• Supervise, motivate, and develop a team of 5–10 direct reports, primarily assemblers.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and maintain detailed employee records.
• Train team members on technical and administrative tasks, fostering skill development.
• Manage timekeeping, approve PTO requests, and enforce company policies fairly and consistently.

Additional Contributions

• Support production activities and other operational needs as required.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience:
• 3–5 years of production or manufacturing experience, including leadership roles.
• Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing and production operations.
• Technical Proficiencies:
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and fabrication techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform cycle counts and scrap adjustments.
• Proficiency in using production management software and basic computer skills.
• Education and Certifications:
• High school diploma or GED required; additional certifications preferred.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Military background with leadership experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with safety and quality standards in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to coordinate activities across departments and lead improvement initiatives.
