Job Title: Tax Manager

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Work Model: Hybrid

Base Salary: $120,000-$140,000/year

Job Overview:

As a Tax Manager, you’ll provide comprehensive tax services to a diverse client base, leveraging technical expertise, analytical skills, and strong client relationship management.

Responsibilities:

• Tax Compliance: Lead the preparation and review of complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.
• Tax Planning and Consulting: Develop tax strategies to align with client financial goals, minimize liabilities, and maximize savings, covering areas such as entity structuring, M&A, and international tax.
• Research and Analysis: Stay current on tax laws and provide well-informed guidance through in-depth research on tax issues to support client decisions.
• Client Relationships: Serve as a trusted tax advisor, building strong client relationships and delivering customized solutions.
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff on technical skills and professional development, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
• Quality Control and Risk Management: Maintain strict quality standards, identifying risks and compliance issues per professional standards and firm policies.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in tax compliance and consulting in public accounting.
• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
• Proficient in tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, UltraTax) and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple engagements.
