We are looking for an experienced Tax & Accounting Senior Manager to join a dynamic team in Chicago, IL. In this role, you will oversee accounting and tax functions, manage a talented team of accounting professionals, and ensure accurate financial reporting for multiple entities. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, variance analysis, and key financial metrics across multiple entities.
Review and ensure the accuracy of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing leadership, training, and development.
Oversee the entire lifecycle of accounting for income taxes, including annual, quarterly, and forecasted tax rate computations.
Supervise other accounting areas such as Accounts Payable, Payroll, Taxes, and Revenue operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and controls.
Manage complex partnership tax structures and transactions with a clear understanding of their impact.
Conduct research on tax issues and communicate the implications of investment decisions to senior management.
Coordinate and ensure compliance by preparing and filing timely tax returns for partnerships.
Document and manage quarterly tax estimates and filings.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is required.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
At least 10 years of experience in tax and accounting management.
Proven experience in leading and managing a team.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with complex data and metrics.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Familiarity with accounting software and applications.
Proven track record in strategic planning and business development.
Ability to work independently, making informed decisions with minimal supervision.
