Job Description

We are seeking passionate, motivated, and adaptable substitute teachers to join our educational community for the 2024-2025 school year. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work with students ranging from Pre-K through 8th grade in a dynamic, supportive environment. The role offers flexible hours and on-call availability based on the school's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and lead classroom activities based on lesson plans provided, ensuring a smooth learning experience for students.
Foster an environment of respect, collaboration, and curiosity within the classroom.
Maintain positive classroom management by utilizing effective and respectful approaches.
Engage with students in a way that supports their social and emotional development.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and cohesive learning environment.
Adapt to a variety of classroom settings and student needs, remaining flexible and responsive to changes in the schedule.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

A love for education, with a genuine desire to nurture and guide students in their academic and personal growth.
Prior experience in a teaching or classroom setting, with a focus on elementary or middle school students.
Familiarity with remote learning platforms and a willingness to embrace digital tools for learning.
A team-oriented and collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with colleagues, staff, and families.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with students, parents, and team members.
A deep understanding of the importance of social and emotional learning in shaping well-rounded students.
A professional and ethical approach to teaching, with a commitment to student success and well-being.

Compensation:

$25/hour
Flexible, on-call, hourly position with hours varying based on availability and needs.
