The Senior Oracle APEX Developer is a role within the University of Minnesota Foundationâ™s Information Technology (IT) department and part of the application development team.. This position will support the Foundationâ™s proprietary enterprise systems, supporting over 2,000 active users across five campuses. These systems, including the alumni, donor and prospect management modules and fund accounting/financial management systems, are built on an Oracle platform utilizing PL/SQL, Oracle Application Express (APEX), and other web development languages.
In this role, the developer will lead and participate in development projects to maintain, expand, redesign, and improve these systems, serving as a subject matter expert through all phases of the software development lifecycle. The role also includes significant project management responsibilities, guiding project plans, timelines, and resources, while ensuring the systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with the Foundationâ™s business goals. As the lead APEX developer, this individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of new APEX features and functionality while guiding and mentoring other developers in APEX. The role requires strong collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure the systems remain robust, scalable, and secure, while also driving the integration of new technologies.
Hybrid Work Model:
The University of Minnesota Foundation (UMF) operates under a hybrid work model, with the expectation that all staff be onsite at least 2-3 times per week. Our office is located in McNamara Alumni Center on the East Bank of the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities campus.
