Position will be filled as either an Informatics Specialist or Senior Informatics Specialist based on candidate qualifications and interview evaluation. To be considered for different job classification levels, candidate must apply for each position interested in.
This position is eligible for primarily remote work but may require limited work onsite at times across Community Connect sites. Remote work must be performed at a location within the state of Iowa and comply with the remote work program and related policies .
Position Summary:
University of Iowa Health Care department of Health Care Information Systems is seeking a Senior Informatics Specialist. The Senior Informatics Specialist is a position that has a pivotal role in the coordination and management of activities and resources related to the electronic medical record spanning the entire UI Health Care organization and its Community Connect Iowa (CCI) partners. The Senior Informatics Specialist role combines clinical knowledge and patient care experience with an understanding of the clinical system, providing an additional area of expertise to the IT system lifecycle. The Senior Informatics Specialist will assist HCIS staff in design and enhancement of the Epic electronic health record. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary contact for the support of ongoing clinical operations, working with site-based informatics staff to define system requirements and understand business needs, and will organize and manage customer-driven services in an efficient, timely manner. This position will support the Community Connect Iowa (CCI) program and staff.

Pay Grade: 6A
