Retail District Sales Manager - Ventura County

The Skechers Retail Team obsessively drives outstanding sales gains, fueling growth and expansion for the Skechers brand worldwide! We're looking for a passionate and energetic Retail District Sales Manager to lead and develop a talented team of store managers to deliver exceptional store results.
As a Retail District Sales Manager, you'll be the stores expert who thrives on impacting our business, stores, and people. This role requires a talent, product, and sales-focused leader with the positivity, resilience, and grit to solve anything, even on tough days.
Salary Range:
100,000.00 - 130,000.00 yearly
Key Responsibilities:
Entrepreneur:
- Drive district to meet and exceed sales and metrics goals
- Guide team in addressing store performance challenges
- Maximize profitability and maintain a healthy balance sheet
Expert:
- Leverage retail knowledge to solve problems and remove obstacles
- Adapt to sudden changes and teach team to pivot effectively
- Drive compliance with policy and procedure
People Champion:
- Recruit and hire top talent
- Develop, coach, and mentor Store Managers and Store Teams
- Focus on succession planning and performance coaching
Merchant:
- Translate and train the team on company's strategic objectives
- Ensure excellent shopping experience and customer service
- Assess local market and competitors
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of Store Managers and a network of up to 25 stores
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in multi-unit retail leadership; prior District Level experience strongly preferred
- Proven track record of exceeding sales and metrics targets
- Strong expertise in retail sales, product merchandising, store operations, and talent development
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to travel up to 100% by car, air, or rail as needed
- Strong technological savvy and ability to learn new retail systems quickly
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred (not required)
Qualifications:
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands, talk, and hear regularly
- Occasional requirement to sit for long periods
