Eaton’s Marketing and Commercial Operations (MCO) organization is currently seeking a Copywriter. The position will be hybrid with an expected 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

All ReSurge participants will join a cohort with a unique learning and development experience. Each participant’s assignment experience will be customized to help them reach their highest potential; no two participants will have the same experience or set of responsibilities.

What you’ll do:

Please note the Eaton ReSurge cohort will begin their 12-month assignment in March of 2025.

The copywriter works with the Marketing Communications team to develop engaging and persuasive content that attracts/informs target audiences and promotes Eaton's products, services and solutions. This role is responsible for writing copy for various marketing materials including brochures, social media posts and website copy. The successful candidate is skilled at managing a high-volume of projects at once.

Activities to include but not limited to:

• Serve as a scrum team developer to create compelling content and collaborate to ensure the messaging is on time and aligned with objectives

• Understand all aspects of Eaton’s brand voice, brand promise, brand attributes and brand standards; accurately represent Eaton in written and verbal communications to position Eaton as a leading power management company

• Write, review and edit content for correct brand, voice and messaging

• Write or edit content for SEO optimization

• Collaborate with marketing communications (marcom) manager, specialist and content developers to create copy that supports various marcom tactics including but not limited to product aids and brochures, website landing pages, product descriptions, advertising headlines and email marketing campaigns

• Meet with subject matter experts to develop content outlines; review drafts and understand edits

• Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team

• Stay current on best practices (i.e. search engine optimization) and brand, sector and segment messaging

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution

• Minimum three (3) years work experience

• No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Moon Township PA, Beachwood, OH or Arden, NC to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year of a voluntary career break from your profession

• Up to 10% travel may be required

• Experience working in an agile team or scrum certified

• Traditional and digital marketing communications experience

• Experience in B-to-B marketing

Skills:

• Aptitude for understanding highly technical information

• Excellent written and communication skills

• Ability to work well in a matrixed team environment

Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The salary for this role is $90,000 a year.
