Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU, critical care, or surgical recovery.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia recovery, airway management, and pain control.
• Experience with monitoring hemodynamics and post-operative complications.

Duties:

• Provide post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgical procedures.
• Monitor vital signs, oxygenation, and consciousness levels.
• Assess for post-operative complications, including airway obstructions and nausea.
• Administer pain management medications and IV fluids as needed.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams to ensure safe recovery.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance with PACU protocols and infection control guidelines.
