**Position Overview** We are hiring a R&D Scientist Intern - Data Scientist. FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific, Inc. is a subsidiary of FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation reporting to FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation. **Job Description** **Responsibilities** + Plan laboratory experiments in the area of Analytics and Data Sciences + Develop and create new experimental framework for data collection, interpretation and analysis to support new product and/or technology + Transfer data into new formats as needed for appropriate + Analyze data and build statistical models + Prepare formal reports and presentations for group meetings + Actively participate in group/project meetings + Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications + Good Documentation Practices & Good Laboratory Practices **Required Skills/Education** + **Must be at least a 2nd year Bachelor's student and a returning student for the next semester or higher level education.** + General lab safety + Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills + Problem solving capabilities to accomplish tasks + Ability to use professional concepts to perform assigned work and solve complex problems + Ability to demonstrate potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought + **Understanding of mammalian cell culturing, experience a plus- need to understand where the data is coming from.** + Programming knowledge with languages such as Python, R, and others + General knowledge of commonly used experimental/research concepts, practices, and procedures. + **Broad and extensive knowledge of Bioinformatics and Data Science** + General knowledge of computer systems and productivity software. + General knowledge of GMP and GLP procedures. + Ability to speak and read English. + Good oral and written communication skills. **Salary and Benefits:** + For California, the base hourly range for this position is$19.00 - $25.00/ hour.
