Who We Are We are a manufacturing company located in Irvington, NJ specializing in Cold Chain Industry producing Insulator Pads made of recycling fibers for Food and/or Pharma Industry.
HOURS/SCHEDULE: 2nd shift, Monday-Friday, and willing to work OT and occasional Saturdays, if needed. Hours are 3:30pm-12:00am. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE (Overview & Key Responsibilities) As a 2nd shift Production Supervisor/Electro Mechanic, you will primary be responsible for managing all aspects of 2 nd shift production operations and managing all production personnel within their designated areas as well as performing any needed maintenance. (Shredding, Hammermill, Paper Airlay, Mattress Airlay, Packaging Line, or Night Shift.).
- Provide support for all needed resources within their designated area.
- Control all efficiencies associated within their designated area.
- Abide by all aspects of safety within the plant, which include OSHA standards.
- Ensure all Line Workers are following all aspects of safety within the plant.
- Ensure quality based on customer specifications.
- Assigning, or delegating responsibility for specified work or functional activities within their area.
- Training and evaluating employees.
- Assist with planning and organizing daily activities related to production and operations.
- Generate production report
- Stakeholder of the company profitability
- Actively participate in any continuous improvement
- Perform any needed maintenance
- Performing other related duties as required.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Qualifications)- High School Diploma or GED equivalent desired
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience in a supervision role
- Must have 3-5 years of electromechanics and maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment and be willing to perform maintenance
- Bilingual (English essential & Spanish)
- 3+ years of forklift experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., multiple times a day
- Able to communicate with others
- Good organization skills
