Physics Teacher 2025 -2026 job at Saint Mary's High School Manhasset, NY, US

Job Description

Saint Mary's High School in Manhasset is seeking a Full-Time Physics/STEM teacher to join its Science Department for the 2025 - 2026 school year. The preferred candidate will have academic experience in Physics/STEM instruction or a related field. Each St. Mary's teacher is dedicated to developing the whole person in academics, the arts, athletics and a growing commitment to God and others. The Physics/STEM Teacher position is a full-time position with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following tasks:

Teach up to 5 sections of Physics/STEM and or related courses during the school year.
Ability to teach AP Physics 1 or higher.
Work collaboratively and be open to feedback on improving teaching.
in departmental and school-wide professional development initiatives.
Participate in the extracurricular life of the school.
Attend and contribute to grade level, faculty, and department meetings.
Teach and lead students in accordance with the teachings of the Roman Catholic church and the mission of St. Mary's High School

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Physics or related field
Master's degree in science or science education is preferred but not required
NYS teacher certification or currently working towards certification preferred
Personal commitment to Catholic mission in education
