Position: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Location: 6700 West Loop S #300 Bellaire, TX 77401

Description:
Pediatrics of Southwest Houston is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who is fluent in Spanish to join our compassionate and expert healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide patient-centered care with diligence and professionalism, working collaboratively to enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, and episodic pediatric illnesses.
  • Prescribe and administer treatments and medications as appropriate.
  • Conduct comprehensive physical exams on pediatric patients.
  • Develop and implement effective patient management protocols and plans of care.
  • Coordinate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals when necessary for patient referrals.
  • Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation using EMR systems.

Qualifications:

  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
  • Completion of a pediatric-focused Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients and families in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional teamwork and leadership skills.

Skills Required:

  • Experience: Preferably 1+ year of experience in a pediatric clinic or healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems: Essential for managing patient records.
  • Familiarity with common pediatric practices, protocols, and procedures.
  • Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and demonstrate personal accountability.
  • Superior verbal and written communication competence.
