Adelphi is seeking a Occupational Therapist to provide medical services at public schools in San Juan County, New Mexico.

Requirements:

• Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy
• New Mexico license (NM Regulations Board or National Board license or certificate)
• ​2 years of previous experience
• Have a Medicaid NPI number

Responsibilities:

• Provide tests that incorporate materials suitable for English Language Learners (ELL), be unbiased, and culturally sensitive.
• Assess fine motor, sensory, and overall developmental skills of students and provide intervention recommendations.
• Refer students for further testing as needed.
• Review medical and developmental histories with the IEP team to determine individual needs and devise treatment goals and activities.
• Maintain ongoing professional development training

In collaboration with the assigned COTA:

• Offer therapy services and support in appropriate settings, as well as training and assistance to teachers and staff.
• Collaborate with external agencies for comprehensive services to eligible children and families.
• Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
• Utilize technology effectively for communication and service delivery.
• Adhere to education board policies, regulations, and legal requirements.
• Any other duties as assigned.
