**Job Description** **UW Medicine** has outstanding opportunities for Nurse Technicians at our **UW Medical Center-Montlake & UW Medical Center-Northwest** locations. Clinical areas requesting Nurse Techs could include med-surg, oncology, neurology, behavioral health, surgical and ICU. **START DATE/ORIENTATION:** + February 5th, 2026 **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to assist in providing direct care, collect and document data gathered during the delivery of care and communicate findings and changes in patient condition to the supervising RN. + Collaborate with the other disciplines as appropriate to provide continuity of patient care from admission to discharge. + Perform a variety of tasks including transporting patients, supplies and specimens; ordering and stocking supplies; and ensuring patient safety through monitoring and assessment, safe patient mobilization and hygiene activities. **ORIENTATION SCHEDULE:** If you are offered a position, there is a required initial two session class orientation. + Day One (February 5th, 2026): New Employee Orientation - 2:30pm-7:00pm In-Person + Day Two: Specialized Nurse Tech EPIC training & access - 3pm-6pm Virtual **REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:** + Must be currently enrollment in a Washington State Board of Nursing approved Nursing Education Program and have at least 6 months to work prior to graduation. + Must have completed at least one clinical rotation by the start of Orientation. + BLS certification, resume, one clinical evaluation, and completed school Skills Checklist are required. + Be available to work a minimum of 1 day per week (some units require more). **ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER** UW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
