Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for tackling challenges? We're looking for experienced Manufacturing Engineers to play a critical role in developing and designing manufacturing equipment for battery cells. Battery cells are some of the most complex components in the energy and transportation industries, and your expertise will be essential in shaping the future of manufacturing for electric vehicles and energy storage systems.
Why This Role? This is your chance to step into a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you'll be designing and developing cutting-edge, high-speed, and scalable automated manufacturing equipment. You'll have the opportunity to learn on the job, work cross-functionally with teams to test and validate equipment, and see your contributions come to life in production.
What You’ll Do:
Take equipment concepts from rough ideas to full production.
Collaborate with teams and equipment suppliers to achieve milestones like prototype releases, testing, and production launches.
Develop station requirements, including automation strategies, material flow, and redundancy plans.
Identify utility needs, such as compressed air and process water, and coordinate their distribution.
Conduct process failure mode and effect analyses (PFMEA).
Create equipment validation plans and see them through execution.
Oversee equipment installation and coordinate with building and utilities teams.
Develop detailed manufacturing instructions to guide new processes.
Who Should Apply? If you have a background in engineering and love rolling up your sleeves to solve problems, this is the job for you. Veterans are highly encouraged to apply! Your leadership, teamwork, and operational expertise translate directly to the kind of work we do. We’re looking for individuals who thrive on responsibility, pay attention to detail, and are eager to make a meaningful impact.
Qualifications:
Must have served in U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves or U.S. National Guard.
A bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or a related engineering field—or equivalent hands-on experience.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience designing and installing new equipment or implementing large-scale manufacturing lines.
Familiarity with industrial engineering concepts like line balancing and timing charts.
Hands-on CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred; Catia is a plus) for designing mechanical equipment and tooling.
Knowledge of manufacturing equipment safety systems, including PLCs, safety guarding, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), data tracking, and database architecture (Python and/or MySQL).
Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally
