Machine Repair Maintenance Technician

Elkton, MI
Contract:
6-month (contract to hire/permanent)
Schedule:
2nd shift (3pm – 11pm)
Compensation:
$33.86/hour + $0.60/hour premium for 2nd shift
Shift and Pay

** $33.86/hr
**2nd Shift:
** 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (+$0.60/hr shift premium)
**3rd Shift:
** 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (+$0.75/hr shift premium)
Job Summary
As a Machine Repair Maintenance Technician, you will:
Diagnose and repair malfunctioning machines (e.g., transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, and cables)
Replace damaged or faulty electrical components (e.g., relays, switches, motors, and sensing devices)
Test malfunctioning machinery and coordinate with personnel from production, maintenance, and tool room departments to determine root causes
Dismantle machines and equipment to access and resolve issues
Inspect and measure parts to identify wear, misalignment, or other problems
Remove and replace worn or broken parts
Required Experience & Qualifications
Hands-on experience with large metal stamping presses
Proficiency working with robotic welding machines (especially Fanuc)
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment with steel, iron, aluminum, and other metals
**Maintenance Tech Journeyman card
** or at least 8 years of verifiable maintenance experience
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
