Rate: $23.00 per hour
Location: Hartranft Community Center
Schedule: Part-time, 15 hours per week
Position Type: Grant-funded, two-year term

Ready to dive into having fun while helping kids grow and shine? Wonderspring is looking for a Lifeguard to join our team at the Hartranft Center! You'll start by supporting our after-school aquatics programming.

What You’ll Get to Do (and Have Fun Doing!)
Aquatic Program

• Supervise and ensure the safety of all children during scheduled swim sessions and aquatic fitness activities.
• Enforce water safety rules and emergency procedures at all times.
• Deliver basic water safety instruction and support children of varying swim abilities.
• Conduct daily checks of pool equipment and maintain cleanliness of the aquatic area.
• Respond quickly and effectively to any aquatic emergencies.

Your Special Skills & Qualities

• High School Diploma or GED required; CDA preferred.
• Lifeguard Certification from a recognized organization (e.g., Red Cross) is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before start date).
• Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergencies.
• Must meet all DHS requirements, including current clearances (PA State Police, Child Abuse, FBI, NSOR) and a Health Assessment with TB test.
