Apprenticely is working with our company partner, KidSpot to add an IT Generalist Intern to their team in Jonesboro, Arkansas!
Our Apprenticely Internship Program is a three-month program that places selected candidates with employers across Arkansas in roles designed to provide hands-on experience under the guidance of a professional mentor and support team. These internships serve as a stepping stone to launch a successful career and may transition into full-time positions based on employer needs.

About our Company Partner: KidSpot is a unique program model that strives to serve the needs of all children. Our educational day program model welcomes children of all abilities including children who are developing typically, developmentally delayed or medically fragile. Our multi-disciplinary staff includes on-site pediatric therapists specializing in gross motor, fine motor, feeding, speech and language, cognitive, adaptive, social and emotional development.
What You'll Do... - Install, configure, and maintain softwares across all clinics
- Assist all departments with DeTaso and Patient Manager trouble shooting and errors
- DeTaso and Patient Manager training for end users as needed
- Assist with coordination and RDP’s for licenses
- Remotely install and repair software and device drivers as needed
- Remotely check network connectivity, security strength, and overall systems health
- Build new servers
- Install and configure Microsoft server OS
- Make sure all server backups are saved on SSD and HD periodically to ensure all data is obtainable
- Manage and repair equipment at all locations- laptops, desktops, printers, phone systems, scanners, etc
- Scripting and coding to a minimal degree
- Ensure cyber security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
- Upgrading, installing, and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives.
- Track emerging technologies and implement them in the company as needed
- Run network and data cable
- Terminate network and data cable.
- Oversee Data Storage and Retrieval Systems
- Communicate with companies and representatives that provide internet services, phone services, etc
- Communicate with staff and other network users for feedback and improvement purposes
- Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems
- Installation and configuration of firewalls
- Installation and configuration of modems, routers, and access points as needed.
- Installation of network jacks in walls as needed.
Preferred Qualities: - Advanced knowledge of hardware and software configuration and troubleshooting
- Ability to perform most hardware and software repairs on company devices as needed
- Strong decision making
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of terminating Network and data cable
- Knowledge of how to run/install network and data cable properly.
- Knowledge of possible network and data cable interference.
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Details - Pay: +$15/hour
- Schedule: 40-hour week: typically 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Friday
- Length of Internship: 3 months
- Location: On Site in Jonesboro
How does the interview process work? Apprenticely will conduct an initial phone interview and assessment. Apprenticely will send selected resumes to companies that match the candidate’s skills and interests. Our employer partners will decide who to interview and select the final candidates for the internship program.
