Job Title: Benefits Specialist

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Benefits Specialist to join our client to deliver exceptional support and guidance in administering employee benefits programs. This individual will manage day-to-day benefits operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely communication with employees and vendors. The Benefits Specialist will play a key role in enhancing the employee experience by providing knowledgeable assistance, overseeing enrollments and claims, and maintaining the integrity of benefits data. Compensation:
$70,000 – $85,000 annually

Work Schedule:
Standard business hours, Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities of the Benefits Specialist:
• Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and retirement plans, while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and policies.
• Act as the main point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related questions, claims, and enrollment support, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
• Manage leave of absence processes (FMLA, ADA, disability), coordinating with employees, managers, and vendors to ensure smooth transitions and documentation accuracy.
• Partner with payroll and HR teams to reconcile invoices, process deductions, and verify data accuracy in HRIS and vendor systems.
• Support annual open enrollment and benefit renewals, including the development and delivery of communications, presentations, and employee education materials.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements through consistent recordkeeping, reporting, and auditing.
• Conduct regular benefit data audits to identify discrepancies and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with HR leadership and external vendors to implement process enhancements and ensure the ongoing optimization of benefit offerings.

Qualifications and Skills for the Benefits Specialist:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
• Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in benefits administration within a corporate HR environment.
• Strong understanding of federal and state benefit regulations, compliance requirements, and leave management processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills; Workday experience required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to employee service.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced work setting.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical ability, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Experience supporting or coordinating global benefit programs is a plus.
