Job Title: ETL & Data Quality Engineer
Location: Austin, Texas(Hybrid-Local to Austin only)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Required Qualifications: - Experience developing mappings and workflows to automate ETL processes using Informatica IICS, IDMC, or Power Center.
- Experience acquiring and integrating data from multiple sources/technologies using Informatica for use in Tableau data visualizations. Data sources may include Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and Adobe PDF.
- Strong skills in designing and developing efficient, high-performance SQL scripts.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities with prior experience as a Data Analyst for analytics, performance management systems, or data warehousing projects.
- Proficiency in technical writing and diagramming using modeling and mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Erwin) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as MS Project.
- Experience designing and developing Python scripts for data testing and automation.
- Ability to identify, record, and track defects throughout the development lifecycle, working closely with developers to prioritize and resolve issues.
- Experience collaborating with development teams to interpret project specifications and improve quality processes.
- Capable of developing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements.
- Ability to identify and communicate business risks related to testing and implementation to project teams and management.
- Strong self-motivation, organization, time-management, and deductive problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion when handling sensitive data.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience contributing to the improvement of automation frameworks, including feature enhancements and expanded test coverage.
- Familiarity with building or utilizing automated regression and functional test suites, particularly those enhanced by AI.
- Experience working with AI platforms or validating AI-integrated products.
- Knowledge of observability and large-scale testing infrastructure.
- Demonstrated innovation in the areas of software quality or test automation.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows and mappings using Informatica IICS, IDMC, or Power Center.
- Integrate data from diverse sources and prepare it for use in Tableau dashboards and reports.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support data processing and reporting needs.
- Conduct data analysis and contribute insights to improve performance and accuracy in data-driven systems.
- Create technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and project plans using industry-standard tools.
- Develop Python scripts to automate testing processes and support continuous integration pipelines.
- Collaborate with QA, development, and product teams to ensure requirements are met with high-quality deliverables.
- Identify bugs and gaps in functionality, document them clearly, and track resolution efforts.
- Support implementation activities and provide risk assessments for all quality assurance aspects.
- Enhance testing strategies and explore automation opportunities to streamline QA processes.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the QA and data engineering teams.
