Role reports to: Head of Global Retail Excellence SelfCare
Location: Kenvue is currently in the process of moving its Global Headquarters from Skillman, NJ to Summit, NJ. This role is based in Summit, NJ but there may be a period of time during the transition that you must report to Skillman, NJ
Travel: 10-25%
Pay: Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $144,000 to $215,000. This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
What will you do The Director, Global Retail Excellence, Aveeno Category & Shopper Strategy is an influential global leader within the brand development and retail excellence teams. This individual will employ advanced analytics and insights to develop, shape and deploy global category leadership, strategic retail guidelines, channel and customer growth strategies, and global retail execution & shopper toolkits.
They will provide critical inputs to design the Global Skin Care Category & Shopper Insights & Analytics roadmap with focus on optimizing global to local data management, shopper insight delivery and building category leading, consistent brand execution framework fit for use across multiple regions. The Director is responsible for collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups globally, regionally, and locally to ensure the global category and brand solutions are scalable and deliver a clear vision that will drive strategic growth for the organization and our retail partners. When required, this individual will support strategic category and retail initiatives across multiple categories, in partnership with the VP and segment Senior Director, with a focus on developing elevated thought leadership and growth opportunities for Kenvue.
Key Responsibilities
Capability Leadership Role
- Leads Global Category Visioning and Solutions for Global Skin Health & Beauty and Aveeno Brand Development Teams including the development of the global category and brand leadership stories for deployment across key markets and channels.
- Leverages consumer, customer, and shopper insights with a deep understanding of brand priorities to develop category solutions and multi-brand activation opportunities that can deployed across multiple markets to deliver long-term growth ambition.
- Partners with retail excellence capability leads across priority markets on deployment of category vision, and transcreation of category development and brand growth strategies for local market and retailer activation.
- Works with Senior Director Global Retail Excellence to activate capability roadmap and develop capability playbook for Category Visioning and Category Solutions.
Cross -Segment / Consumer Leadership Role
- Leads work on global category solutions and activation across full Kenvue Brand Portfolio for key consumer target (i.e. Pediatrics/Young Family, Aging Consumer, Gen Z, etc.)
Brand Development Team Leadership Role
- Is the Global Retail Excellence leader for an assigned global brand development team to ensure external shopper, channel and customer perspective across priority markets are fully embedded in commercial strategy and brand activations.
- Leads key initiatives for the Global Brand Development team for assigned retail excellence capabilities.
- Leads development of global channel strategy for assigned Brand Development Team, works with regional and priority markets to ensure customer priorities and requirements are embedded in new product development, brand growth strategy, and overall go to market plans.
- Leads development of global retail excellence and shopper toolkits, new global product launch playbooks, and RGM guidelines/playbooks for the assigned global brand development team. Works with cross-functional global brand team including marketing, insights, and R&D while partnering with key stakeholders from regional teams and priority markets to ensure critical requirements are captured and effective deployment of material.
- Represents Global Brand Development Team priorities and requirements within broader retail excellence organization for alignment and prioritization of resources and investment across broader Segment.
What we are looking for Required Skills / Experiences
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree
• 10 years of Consumer Products industry experience in Category or Customer Strategy, Customer Business Development, Category Insights & Analytics, and/or Shopper Insights & analytics
• Extensive knowledge of omni retail customer store operations, structure, strategy, and retail execution tactics.
• Budgeting and forecasting, commercial and financial acumen
• Direct customer sales experience in CPG is preferred
• Global or multi-regional experience is preferred
• Up to 10-25% global or domestic travel
