Job Description

12 year old Female and 4 year old Male in need of Respite support. Ideal candidate would support both individuals at the same time. Two days per week and occasional weekend. 15 year old Male in need of Respite support after 4pm on weekdays and flexible schedule for weekends. The ideal candidates would have working or personal experience providing support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and be committed to their health and safety. Motivation to make a positive impact in the life of another individual is important for this position. Direct Support Providers should promote self-esteem with the individuals they support and be an advocate for them. Direct Support Provider will support the individual with their daily living skills and goals, which may include feeding, bathing, oral hygiene, incontinent care, transfers and transportation. Direct Support Provider will support the individual in their home and in the community. Qualifications:
CPR and First Aid certification a plus
Article 9 certification a plus
Have or be able to Obtain Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance
Introduction to Developmental Disabilities certificate a plus
DCW Level 1 & 2
Prevention and Support Training / Positive Behavior Support Training
Ability to work required shifts
Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
