Summary

Eagle Eye Networks is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to join our infrastructure team. This role is critical to building and maintaining our cutting-edge data center environments, both locally and internationally.

We’re looking for someone with a solid understanding of server hardware, structured cabling, and Linux systems. You’ll be responsible for building, deploying, and supporting physical infrastructure, leading hardware installations, and contributing to ongoing automation and optimization efforts. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and excited to grow their skills while working on global-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Install, rack, and cable server and network equipment following industry best practices
  • Troubleshoot and configure various types of server and storage systems (Network, motherboards, CPUs, RAM, drives, fans, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, cabling, and connectivity issues independently
  • Monitor system health, power usage, and cooling metrics; escalate anomalies and support airflow and power optimization
  • Lead installation projects, rack layout planning, and ensure compliance with DC standards
  • Script and automate repetitive tasks; contribute to internal tooling and automation libraries
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking using DCIM tools (e.g., Nautobot)
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols, including access control, and audit readiness
  • Document work clearly and contribute to knowledge sharing through reports and playbooks
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders across regions
  • Mentor junior technicians and assist in onboarding and training
  • Travel occasionally, including international trips, as required

Experience

  • Experience in data center or ISP environments preferred
  • Strong knowledge of server hardware components and structured cabling practices
  • Proficient in organizing copper, fiber, and power cabling within racks
  • Basic networking knowledge and Linux command-line experience (bash, ssh, basic scripting)
  • Familiarity with DCIM tools and best practices in data center infrastructure management
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently on complex technical tasks
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, including internationally
