As a Food Safety Specialist, you will assist the Food Safety department by; providing leadership and implementing all activities relating to Food Safety by instilling zero tolerance and continual improvement attitude throughout the regional facilities, implementing all activities relating to Food Safety, serving as customer liaison and coordinator for all Quality and Food Safety relations, establishing perpetual education philosophies and practices, ensuring operational efficiencies, designing, developing, and implementing region/facility measurement and monitoring systems, and participating in the development and execution of the company's mission, objectives and strategies.

• Full-Time, On-Site Role

You will contribute by:

• Auditing all operations to ensure compliance with third-party audit requirements and customer food safety programs. Escalating unresolved issues and driving improvement through corrective action follow-up.
• Providing facilities with support to ensure compliance with all FDA and customer audit requirements. Assisting facility management in reviewing compliance, implementing corrective actions, and supporting leadership during internal and external audits.
• Implementing the corporate Food Safety Management System, including documentation control and adherence to all regulatory requirements set by the FDA and customers. Ensuring HACCP plan development, allergen management, documentation, and controls are in place across all facilities and conducting audits for compliance.
• Coordinating with local pest control professionals to support and execute C&S Pest Control and Master Sanitation programs.
• Supporting the integration and enforcement of food security requirements in alignment with FDA and customer guidelines.
• Assisting the Corporate Food Safety Department and company facilities in developing food safety, biosecurity, regulatory, and quality initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Aiding in the implementation, modification, and execution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs) for warehouse and manufacturing operations.

We’re searching for candidates with:

• Strong understanding of food safety principles in warehouse and food manufacturing operations
• HACCP Certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Project management and problem-solving skills
• 5-7 years of experience in food safety operations

Environment:

• Warehouse : Freezer (-20F to 0F)
• Warehouse : Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)
• Warehouse : Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)
