job summary:

A Construction Inspector is needed for a leading engineering and design firm in Lexington, Ma. The Construction Inspector is responsible for leading Title II Construction Inspectors and inspections. In addition, the construction inspector will perform on-site quality assurance services.

Qualified candidates must have a BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, and 5+ years of QC Construction experience with DoD or US Army Corps of Engineer projects. This is a contract role slated to last 12+ months, and per diem will be available for qualified candidates.

responsibilities:

• Lead Title II Construction Inspectors and inspections

Perform payment inspections and validation of progress against the required forms

Work with subcontractors daily to ensure that the project is constructed & documented in accordance with the project specifications, policies, detailed drawings & industry standards

Plan, coordinate and supervise on-site functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of on-site administrative staff)

Inspect the construction efforts on this DoD project to ensure that it is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule

The essential functions of this role include:

• working up to 15 hrs of overtime per week
