Job Description

The Change Management Consultant will provide expertise and guidance to organizations undergoing change, focusing on the people side of change initiatives. This role involves developing and implementing change management strategies, stakeholder engagement, and communication plans to ensure successful adoption and minimize resistance. The consultant will work collaboratively with various teams and leaders to integrate change practices at all levels of the organization.

Location:Ontario, Canada

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement change management strategies, plans, and frameworks.
- Partner with project managers, business analysts, and other specialists to integrate change practices.
- Lead stakeholder management, including identification, analysis, and engagement strategies.
- Develop and implement communication plans, sponsor roadmaps, and training plans.
- Conduct change readiness assessments and present findings to stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks and resistance points, and develop mitigation plans.
- Track adoption, utilization, and proficiency of changes through measurement systems.
- Develop approaches to embed and sustain changes, including knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate workshops, briefings, and training sessions.
- Develop KPIs and metrics to assess change effectiveness.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- Experience leading large-scale enterprise-level change initiatives.
- Ability to develop and implement change strategies in multi-stakeholder environments.
- Ability to create and execute multi-year change roadmaps.
- Experience developing communication plans and crafting clear, compelling materials.
- Experience conducting workshops, briefings, and training sessions.
- Experience and knowledge of change management industry standards, best practices, methodologies, and tools.
- Strong conflict management, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent active listening skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Strong presentation and group facilitation skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Experience identifying and assessing change impacts on business processes and technology solutions.
- Experience leading medium to large transformational change projects.
- Experience working with project leads to apply a structured change management approach.
- Experience defining and measuring success metrics and monitoring change progress.
- Familiarity with Ontario Public Service (OPS) or similar government environments.

Special Considerations:

- This is a hybrid assignment requiring on-site work.
- Candidate must report on site 4 days a week, and 5 days starting Jan 2, 2026 (subject to change).

Scheduling:
- Minimum of 3 days per week on-site, increasing to 5 days per week starting
