Job Description

Job purpose

This role is responsible for and manages purchasing, material requirements planning and supplier relationship management.

Main accountabilities and tasks

• Manages the order fulfillment process including purchase order entry, purchase order administration, and expediting incoming product.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and purchase raw materials required for production.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without overstocking, and manage reorder points.
• Analyze market trends to make cost-effective purchasing decisions and manage budgets.
• Executes the purchase order tracking process and ensures purchase orders are processed in accordance with the organization’s customer satisfaction and performance standards
• Ensures adequate inventory levels are maintained to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost
• Maintains close written and verbal communication with Corporate purchasing locations to ensure the local material requirements are met
• Work closely and effectively communicate with operations, quality, customer service and the sales team, as well as other team members
• Tracks changes in business needs and adjust order quantities to support business increases or decreases
• Facilitates process improvement, streamlining of costs, to increase the quality of procurement, logistics, and materials management
• Reviews weekly open purchase order report and updates and addresses discrepancies
• Assist with inventory counts when applicable
• Other operational tasks as deemed necessary

Qualifications

Work experience : 3-5 years of Buyer /Inventory Planning

Education : Bachelor’s degree or commensurate years’ experience

Other:

• Excellent and demonstrated organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in orders and documentation.
• Outgoing self-starter with a positive attitude who enjoys a small business environment
• Team player with focus on building organizational relationships to achieve corporate goals
• SAP, ERP experience preferred but not required
• Efficient in MS Office Products
• Strong TEAM and LEAD mentality required
