Job Description

ACERO is looking for a Professional Bookkeeper with 5 years of experience, on a full-time basis, Monday - Friday 8a-5p schedule, onsite job.  We offer paid holidays, vacation, health, dental, vision, voluntary life and short-term disability.

Job Summary:
Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.

Responsibilities:

• Recording financial transactions (A/P and A/R) in QuickBooks
• Making payments to vendors.
• Applying customer payments.
• Verifying the accuracy of payments and deposits.  
• Preparing a variety of reports and checklists.
• Reconciling accounts.
• Reviewing statements.
• Entering payroll transactions.
• Communicate with customers and vendors regarding payments.
• Ensures invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner.
• Records credit card transactions to correct GL codes and department codes and ensure proper documentation of approval.
• Work together with others in the accounting department and perform any additional functions as needed to ensure the success of the department and Company.
• Provide administrative and clerical support.
• Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by management.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail.
• Expertise with Quickbooks Online, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Minimum Education: High School
• Bookkeeping experience.
• Understanding of accounting principles.
• Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
