Job Description: Amazon Delivery Driver - Pontiac, MI
We are seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join our team as Amazon Delivery Drivers in Pontiac, MI. As an Amazon Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of packages to our customers' doorsteps.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a company-provided delivery van or truck to deliver Amazon packages to designated locations within the assigned route
- Follow pre-determined routes and schedules, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any issues or maintenance needs promptly
- Sort and organize packages based on delivery order and load them onto the vehicle in a secure and organized manner
- Utilize GPS navigation tools and technology to navigate the delivery routes and optimize delivery efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Obtain customer signatures upon delivery and accept returns if required
- Manage delivery paperwork and maintain accurate delivery records
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe driving record at all times
- Assist with other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management team
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate reliability and punctuality
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Physical ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds individually and team-lift larger items if necessary
- Familiarity with GPS navigation and basic smartphone operation
- Experience in package delivery or transportation industry preferred but not required
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays
