AI Intern 2025

Position Overview:

The AI Intern at HCIactive will play a pivotal role in assisting the design, development, and implementing AI solutions that elevate user experiences across our range of products. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers, to create intelligent and intuitive applications.

Key Responsibilities

AI Implementation & Optimization

• Crafting and refining prompts for pre-trained AI models (like GPT-4o-mini) to enhance HCI experiences
• Developing creative applications that leverage existing AI capabilities in natural language processing and computer vision
• Optimizing AI model performance through systematic prompt engineering and effective integration strategies
• Assisting in the evaluation and selection of appropriate AI models for specific HCI use cases

Data Processing

• Work with large datasets to extract meaningful insights for training AI models.
• Implement data pre-processing and cleaning procedures to ensure high-quality input for AI algorithms.

  Integration

• Collaborate with software developers to integrate AI models seamlessly into existing and new applications.
• Helping to ensure compatibility and optimal performance of AI components within the overall system architecture.

  Testing and Optimization

• Assisting in conducting rigorous testing of AI models to identify and address issues related to accuracy, performance, and scalability.
• Optimize algorithms and models for efficiency and real-world application.

  Documentation

• Document code, algorithms, and processes to facilitate collaboration and knowledge transfer.
• Contribute technical documentation for end-users and stakeholders.

  Continuous Learning

• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and HCI to bring innovative ideas and approaches to the team.
• Participate in relevant conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance professional development.

  Qualifications

• Working on a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong interest in developing and deploying AI solutions.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Familiarity with popular AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Knowledge of natural language processing, computer vision, and other AI domains.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
